E K5 StarElite Martial Arts is beyond a karate school!!! Kids don't just train here, they become a better person in many aspects of life. We are greatly thankful to the amazing Sensei and Sempai and all trainers for being such outstanding individuals. Thank you for being so dedicated, capable and thank you for your guidance to our children!Sunday 19th May 2024
Ryan and Karen Schwark5 StarI cannot say enough good things about elite martial arts! I signed my son up because I thought it would be a good activity to help with his confidence and focus- and it absolutely has been. He is learning not only karate but about being a respectful, kind, and responsible young man. It looked like so much fun I signed up myself and have also seen such growth in my own confidence. We love EMA and look forward to continuing our journey. It’s never a bad time to learn something new. Thank you sensei, senpai, and everyone at elite martial arts ❤️Monday 30th October 2023
Kate Ngow5 StarI never like to leave a review of somewhere after having only been a couple of times. We have now had our son enrolled at EMA for 3.5 months and are just as in love with it as we were on day 1! As both a young mother and a cancer survivor, there is nothing in life that brings me more joy than to watch my child light up doing something he loves and that is exactly what happens any time he steps foot into EMA. He asks us Every. Single. Day. If he has karate that day and when the answer is finally yes? He is bouncing off of the walls with excitement. I have worked with infants, toddlers and young children for 11 years now and it is RARE when you find someone who is as good with children as Sensei and Mrs. Hatten are (these are who majority of our experience have been with but Miss Gibbons & Mr. McCamley are also SO HELPFUL when you need them!!) and they meet every single child where they are at. They are strict when/where they need to be, and do not tolerate inappropriate behavior, but I have personally seen both of them come off of the mat to console a child, or using a gentler corrective tone with a child who may be a little bit more sensitive. Speaking solely to our experience as parents of a hard of hearing child that is bilaterally aided, Sensei was fully prepared to wear a necklace that allowed our son to hear him better if needed, and Mrs. Hattan, who has an English Accent, came off of the mat the first time she met my son got down to his level and made sure he had direct eye contact with him. Whether the latter was talked about prior to his attendance, or intentional because she saw his hearing aids, or even just because she hadn’t met him yet? I hope this paints the amazing picture that I hope it does about this entire team of very passionate martial artists. While we don’t see it happening any time soon, if our son ever decides to stop karate, we will be encouraging of whatever he wants to do, but we will be SO sad to leave. If I ever build up the resolve and courage I’d love to sign up for an adult class sometime. EMA is a diamond in the rough and you will not be disappointed!Saturday 27th January 2024
Sznitka5 StarThis is an email I once sent to Sensei Yaquinto and I figured it'd serve as a good review for other parents to read:
I just wanted to start off by expressing how incredibly happy I am that we decided to bring our son to your awesome Dojo. He's thriving under your guidance and he genuinely looks forward to every karate session. It's nice to see him respond so positively to you!
I also wanted to take a moment to give you major credit for the amazing structure and discipline you've established in your class. You have this great way of correcting the kids when they're not paying attention or acting out - it's stern, yet it never leaves them feeling frustrated. It seems you've found the perfect balance!
Finally, I can't emphasize enough how much we appreciate your Dojo and everything you do. We genuinely look forward to continuing to be a part of your class.Saturday 7th October 2023
Christina Paradise5 StarSensei Yaquinto has the little dragons class full attention with his upbeat, fun atmosphere my son is always engaged. He has learned respect, safety, and positive peer encouragement (oh yea, and karate. . . Lol) I highly recommend this class for your little guy or girl! They love it and I can see such a difference from my son since joining!Friday 2nd August 2019
