Kendo is a traditional Japanese martial art that emphasizes the use of bamboo swords, known as “shinai,” and protective armor to engage in simulated sword combat. Rooted in samurai warrior traditions, Kendo practitioners, or “kendoka,” focus on disciplined techniques, precise strikes, and swift footwork to strike at designated target areas on their opponents’ bodies. Beyond its physical aspects, Kendo embodies values of respect, honor, and self-improvement, making it both a rigorous sport and a path of personal development.

Seems like something I'm interested in. Maybe I can switch over from MMA. Update: I have spectated one of their sessions and have come to the realization that kendo is not the right kind of combat sport for me.
