Mike Schultz1 StarI am posting this for my wife, who never would do this on her own. These are her words sent via the "Contact us" link on their website.
Let me start by saying I NEVER complain. I have worked retail for twenty years and understand everyone has a bad day. That said, your employee, Shelby's, behavior was so egregious that I couldn't stay silent. I purchased a clearance sweater with a pink ticket that should have rung up 50% off. It did not. 2 days later, I came in for a correction. Shelby immediately had an attitude, telling me that if it didn't ring up, then it wasn't on sale. To be sure, before I went to customer service, I first went to the floor and took a picture of the clearance sign stating an additional 50% off the pink ticket price. I presented her with my phone to show it was indeed included, and she continued to argue. Repeating, if it was on sale, it would ring up. She stated she needed to call and verify pink was on sale and told me she didn't know when I took the picture, implying I was lying. She argued with the person on the phone, who clearly told her to adjust the price. She hung up, stating she didn't know what half of 17 was. (Seriously?) I told her it was $8.50. She asked if I wanted it back on my card, to which I responded yes. She scanned the receipt but didn't know how to process the refund. Then she said, "No, wait, this is a price adjustment, and you only have 24 hours to make the adjustment." She again argued with me when I said this was a wrong price rung up, and your company's fault. She continued repeatedly, and angrily, claiming it was a price adjustment. So, your employee implied that I lied, switched tickets, and blamed me for the sweater not being in the system and ringing up correctly. The end result was that she didn't know how to fix the issue. The tax on the refunded balance was not refunded. I could have claimed the Michigan Scanner Law as well (Which allows up to 30 days to return for correction), but didn't, knowing that would trigger another argument. As it stands, I could still take my receipt into the store and get the proper price correction for the sweater, since she did not fix the problem and only refunded me the money by using coupon deductions. To add insult to injury, she disrespectfully tossed cash on the counter because she didn't know how to return it to my card.Tuesday 30th September 2025

Y Thomas7771 StarThis review is directly regarding my experience at the Cinnabon business housed within Meijer. I enjoyed shopping at the Meijer Fraser location due to the cleanliness and overall product availability. However, on occasion I have visted the cinnabon inside of Meijer. The few times I've purchased cinnabons, never had a problem until today 17 Oct.
I purchased a cinnabon today at 10:30a that was hard and stale to taste. I returned to cinnobon to exchange for a fresh one. The Mjr on duty refused to exchange my cinnabon. She told me it just needed to be heated up. I explained I dont heat it up before eating. She took the bun out of the bag and proceeded to heat the bun, and then told me I needed to try it now. I refused and asked if she could just exchange it for a fresh one. She told me No. " You just need to heat up first." "Try it because it's fine now." I refused again. She stated, I just baked it fresh at 10:17a and there's was no way it could not be fresh." She opened the box proceeded to break a piece off on a fork and told me to try it. I stated, I don't want to try it. I asked if she was going to exchange it and she stated "okay fine." The cashier at counter looked at me and said, "it's up to the Manager." I stated just give me a refund because I gave you $2 tip for this cinnabon. I stated, " I'm not going to argue with you and I not trying to cause a scene." The Mgr on duty still insisted that I eat the cinnabon and stated, " You can take your tip because I don't need it." Again, I stated. "I dont want to eat that cinnabon, she asked me, " Are you serious?"
She said, I cant give a refund." I ask where does it state you can't give a refund?"
She then states, I'm calling the manager.
While on the phone, she states to a man named Jerry who that she made cinnobons at 10:17a and this customer wanted her to exchange because she says its stale. The cashier told her to let me speak to the Manager. Once I started to explain to the manager why I wanted my cinnabon exchanged the manager on duty starts yelling into the phone about how the cinnabon was fresh and that I needed to heat it up first. I stopped talking to ask if I could talk to the Manager on the phone. The manager on duty continued to talk over me until I raised my voice. I asked loudly are you going to let me talk or not. The Mgr on the phone tells me not to yell at his employee. When I ask the mjr on the phone "why is your employee talking over me while I'm trying to talk with you?" He states he didn't hear anyone talking.
The mgr on duty throws me $2 ( the tip) on the counter and shoves the stale cinnobon towards me. I get my $ 2 off the counter and pushed the cinnobon on the floor.Friday 17th October 2025
