Since 2019, our son Isaac has been part of this fantastic community, and it's not an exaggeration to say that karate is his absolute favorite activity, bar none. Master Jesse's passion for martial arts is palpable in every class. He not only teaches the skills necessary for the sport but does so with a warmth and dedication that is truly inspiring. His ability to connect with students, foster a thriving learning environment, and instill a high level of engagement, focus, and confidence is exceptional. The atmosphere at Total Martial Arts is charged with positivity, respect, and discipline, yet Master Jesse makes sure that every session is fun and exciting. This balance keeps the kids, including Isaac, eager to come back session after session, year after year. My son has done karate at Total Martial Arts for over two years now (he is on the black belt path now). He has absolutely LOVED his experience. It has helped so much with his focus, discipline and attention span. Not to mention Master Jesse does a great job instructing the kids and making every class fun and engaging!!!

We're into year 3 so far, if that says anything. It's been great to watch our son's journey from the Ninja Turtles through TMA's 3d level, the Black Belt Training. Of all the sports and activities this is the one our boy consistently attends and does not want to miss. Seems like a good formula as it's given him more focus and achievable goals to attain. Master Jesse's style is rather adaptable and he's fun to watch as he skillfully employs different training techniques. His classes switch up often as some are more serious, where others are just fun team building activities where everyone gets to cheer on, including the audience (for example the kids practice high jumps over obstacles). Aside from the physical, TMA also focuses on the mind, which includes meditation and sound advice like, a motto often repeated in the class "A black belt is a white belt who never quit." He gets the 5 Star stamp from us! Prior to TMA we had tried out two other studios for reference, yet we choose TMA because it was a good balance between fun and discipline.

Well structured and well balanced classes. Amazing instruction from Master Jessie — keeping the attention of the kids in a respectful and fun way. Highly recommend at a minimum bringing your child in for the trial period to see if they like it!

Total Martial Arts with Master Jesse has been incredible for our son. Jesse is supportive of all of his students. He cares about his instruction, as well as his individual students' needs and progress. He makes martial arts fun. He is able to engage a large group of kids with a varietyof skill and age range. During the pandemic, he thought out of the box to keep the kids learning and progressing. My son has grown in his focus, discipline, confidence, and overall martial arts skills. I would highly recommend Total Martial Arts!
